If you’re wild for wild game and the Fulshear Police Department, you won’t want to miss Dozier’s BBQ’s Pitmaster Party: Wild Game Edition, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
Dozier’s BBQ and Meat Market Pitmaster Jim Buchanan and pitmasters across Texas will be serving up unforgettable BBQ featuring wild game meat at 8222 Farm to Market 359 in Fulshear. Willie Robertson of Buck Commander/Duck Commander is slated to head up the all-star pitmaster dream team. All proceeds benefit the Fulshear Police Foundation.
This is the second time Dozier’s has hosted the event which coincides with the start of hunting season. The $75 per person ticket entitles attendees to samples from each of the participating pitmasters as well as live music from Morgan Obenhaus on the Dozier’s deck. Beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased online.
Returning from last year’s event are Patrick Feges of Feges BBQ; Quy Hoang of Blood Bros. Barbecue; Russell Roegels of Roegels Barbecue; John Brotherton of Brotherton’s Black Iron Barbecue; Ara Malekian of Harlem Road BBQ and Scott Moore of Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue.
Joining the lineup are Ernest Servantes of Burnt Bean Co.; John Bates of Interstellar BBQ; Joseph Quellar of JQ’s Tex-Mex BBQ; Zaid Al-Jazrawi of Smokin Z’s BBQ and Steven Rossler of Rossler’s Blue Cord Barbecue.
Dozier’s is home to one of the largest deer processing centers in greater Houston. The beloved BBQ smokehouse and meat market has attracted many famous aficionados, including President George H.W. Bush. He loved Dozier’s bacon so much he would have it shipped to the White House — earning it the nickname “Presidential Bacon.”
Be sure to come out for food, fun and the Fulshear Police Foundation. It’s going to be wild!
