It never gets old. The Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) mid-year report comes out and we are on it, ranking as one of the top 50 best-selling master-planned communities in the nation.
The annual list ranks master-planned communities based on home sales from January through June. Cross Creek Ranch builders sold 227 homes during that time period placing us at No. 42.
Although home prices rose significantly in the Houston area, it still accounted for approximately 20 percent of all sales among the ranked master-planned communities. It was the top performer in the nation with 13 communities in the top 50. Johnson Development had the most Houston-area communities than any other developer.
Homebuyers continue to be attracted to the home choices, amenities and sense of community master-planned communities offer.
Cross Creek Ranch boasts unique amenities that encourage an outdoor lifestyle. Our Polishing Pond and Flewellen Creek are home to migratory birds and other wildlife that can be viewed from our boardwalk or a kayak. More than 20 parks and playgrounds, acres of trees and wildflowers, hike-and-bike trails and lakes contribute to residents’ health and well-being. We have three pool complexes — one with an incredible water slide — a dog park, a sports park (for humans) and Italian Maid Café for quick-and-easy dining.
Four highly regarded Katy ISD schools are located within our community. Esteemed Lamar CISD schools are just around the corner.
Cross Creek Ranch was not the only Johnson Development community to make the list. Sienna in Missouri City ranked at No. 36 with 236 new homes sold. Woodforest in Montgomery placed at No. 47 with 223 homes sold and Jordan Ranch in Fulshear debuted at No. 50 with 205 sales.
