Fort Bend PAWS Needs You

December 05, 2020

Not every pet has a comfortable home. In fact, many in Fort Bend County sit in shelters hoping for a loving family. Sadly, some of those animals could be euthanized — but not if Fort Bend PAWS (Pets are Worth Saving) has anything to say about it.

Fort Bend Paws is one of the charities we are supporting during our Give Back — Move Forward promotion. If you purchase a new home in our community in December, we will donate $500 to your choice of one of five charities — one of which is Fort Bend PAWS.

Also through the promotion, one buyer will receive an extra gift if they close on their new home by Oct. 31, 2021 — a $5,000 furniture gift card.

What is Fort Bend PAWS? We’re glad you asked. The two-year-old non-profit raises funds and awareness for Fort Bend County Animal Services. They want to make it “paw-sible” to reach a no-kill status for the animals in the shelter’s care. Donated funds are used for programs not currently covered by the county budget and include specialty veterinary care, spay/neuter assistance, shelter animal enrichment, emergency response and other projects as necessary.

If you are not in the market for a new home, you can still help Fort Bend PAWS by donating much-needed items. Donations can be left under the giving tree at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane. Check out the list below to see what you can give.

Clorox wipes

It is because of Fort Bend PAWS that many deserving animals stay healthy and find their “fur-ever” families. The non-profit believes all pets are worth saving. Do you?
