Help Restock Family Hope’s Shelves

Planning a visit to Cross Creek Ranch this month? Consider bringing along a box of rice and some canned vegetables to help restock Family Hope of Fulshear’s food pantry.

We’re partnering with our friends at Family Hope for a drive-thru food drive to help families in the greater Fort Bend area put meals on their tables.

Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane, 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Sept. 14, Thursday, Sept. 17, and Saturday, Sept. 19.

Requested non-perishable items include:

• Rice
• Beans
• Spaghetti and other pastas
• Tomato sauce
• Canned tuna
• Peanut butter
• Oatmeal
• Cereal
• Instant milk
• Canned vegetables

Family Hope is the largest non-profit agency exclusively serving northern Fort Bend County’s residents with medical assistance, food, rent and utility assistance, job searches, furniture and disaster relief.

The organization has seen a 700 percent increase in clientele since March and their food pantry is depleted of much-needed items every week.

This is not the first time we’ve partnered with Family Hope. In June and July, the community opened up the Welcome Center to help Family Hope provide take-out meals to families in need.
