With the acceptance of five acres of land donated by the Ginter family, a new library is one step closer to opening near Cross Creek Ranch.
The Fort Bend County Commissioner's Court accepted the donation in June. The new library will be located just north of FM 1093 between our community and Fulshear High School.
While no drawings have been released, the state-of-the-art library is expected to be larger than the current facility housing the Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library by approximately 19,500 square feet. That means more books, meeting rooms and programming. We are always down for more books and more story hours.
Past bonds that included funds for library expansions will pay for construction, furniture, fixtures and the book collection.
A date for the groundbreaking will be announced soon. If you don’t already have a library card, we suggest you get one now!
