The 50 top-selling master-planned communities have been named, and once again Cross Creek Ranch has been ranked among the best of the best.
Sales grew by 15 percent last year, moving us up to No. 25 on the Robert Charles Lesser & Co. (RCLCO) annual list. Last year we were No. 31. We also moved up on the prestigious John Burns Real Estate Consulting list, progressing from No. 32 to No. 26. We were No. 3 in the greater Houston area.
According to the John Burns report, master-planned communities accounted for 20 percent of new home sales — a rate of approximately one home per day. How many homes did we sell? A whopping 455! That’s a lot of new neighbors.
What’s the secret of our success? According to both reports, the most successful communities offer a range of home choices with particular attention paid to first-time buyers and those that offer more active adult and age-targeted neighborhoods.
Among the many neighborhoods in Cross Creek Ranch is Bonterra, resort-style gated community. Bonterra residents not only benefit from a range of exciting amenities, but they also can choose between two builders — Taylor Morrison and Darling Homes — and numerous floor plans that fit their lifestyles.
We’ve also introduced townhome designs from Chesmar Homes. Priced from the $200,000s, these plans make homeownership a reality for first-time buyers. And we don’t stop there. A visit to our welcome center reveals an outstanding choice of 12 builders with a range of products to suit every budget from $200,000 to more than $1 million.
Lifestyle amenities also are a factor in our success. Residents enjoy three pool complexes, an on-site café and on-site schools. By 2020, Katy ISD will have built four schools within our community that will allow students to start and finish their education close to home. Students zoned to Lamar CISD will discover excellent schools within two miles of Cross Creek Ranch.
Cross Creek Ranch is one of six Johnson Development communities that made the lists including top-selling Sienna Plantation in Missouri City. Riverstone in the Sugar Land area and Harmony and Woodforest in South Montgomery County also ranked among the top 50. Viridian in Arlington also was recognized. Johnson Development had more communities ranked among the nation’s top 50 than any other developer.
