Cancer survivors will be honored at a luncheon hosted by the American Cancer Society beginning at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at Cross Creek Ranch.
The Survivors Lunch will be held at the Cross Creek Ranch community room, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane, with food provided by Italian Maid Café. It is open to any cancer survivor and one guest. The lunch recognizes that cancer survivors are a driving force behind the Relay for Life, a signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Society.
Relay for Life takes place from noon to midnight, Saturday, April 1, at Edward Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd, Sugar Land. The lunch is one of several events leading up to the relay. In February, Bark for Life — a dog-friendly version of Relay for Life held at the Cross Creek Ranch sister community of Riverstone — raised nearly $4,500 for the American Cancer Society.
Lunch is free, but reservations are required.
