Fulshear is seeing a population boom as thousands of people chase its small-town charm and highly regarded schools. As such, home construction is thriving, and area mainstay Cross Creek Ranch is giving birth to new communities like Cross Creek West to meet demand.
Fulshear has added more than 25,000 residents since 2020 totaling 42,616 residents in 2023, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The area’s 25 percent growth between 2022 and 2023 alone make it the second-fastest growing city in America among cities with a population of at least 20,000 residents.
Fulshear’s boom has largely been spurred by Cross Creek Ranch, which began development in 2006 and sold the final lots of its 3,200 acres to builders earlier this year. Our community encompasses more than 6,000 homes and businesses. Johnson Development has now set its sights on developing our sister community, the 1,200-acre Cross Creek West, located just north of downtown Fulshear.
Cross Creek Ranch’s ponds, parks, recreational amenities and convenient commercial centers have drawn in residents, with Cross Creek West promising a similar haven.
