Randle Elementary, our newest onsite elementary school, makes its debut this month and we are very excited to tell you about it.
Randle is the first Lamar Consolidated ISD school to be built in Cross Creek Ranch. The 109,645-square-foot facility houses a library, classrooms, cafeteria, gym and more. Approximately 800 students will attend the school. It was built with funds from Proposition A which provided LCISD with $1.3 million for land sites and the construction of new schools.
Principal Ernie Bainbridge brings 15 years of experience in education, which includes six years as a teacher, five years as an assistant principal and five years as a principal. He was most recently the principal at Hubenak Elementary. Vice Principal Dominique Harrison served as an assistant principal and academic facilitator for LCISD, taught upper level elementary for Houston ISD and special education for Katy ISD.
The new students will be known as the Raptors with the motto “Hear Us Roar.” New students and their parents can show their spirit by purchasing Randle Raptor gear.
The school was named after Viola Gilmore Randle, Fulshear’s first Black mayor. The daughter of sharecroppers, Randle grew up in Fulshear, eventually becoming a business owner, activist and community leader. She served as mayor from 1993 to 1998. Upon retiring from the city council, she continued to serve on boards and commissions. She passed away in 2020 at the age of 96.
We just want to wish all our little Raptors luck as they learn and grow in our newest school!
