Winding through the gently rolling hills and along the lakes and waterways of Cross Creek Ranch are miles of hike-and-bike trails to explore and enjoy. View our trail map!

Our Lakes

Cross Creek Ranch’s hundreds of acres of lakes reflect the natural beauty of the community and provide wonderful scenic views whether you are walking the trails or standing on our iconic “Hill.”

• Lakeside hill with wonderful views of the amphitheater and main lake
• A perfect picnic spot for your family and friends as well as special concert events
• Catch-and-release fishing permitted in all lakes
• Non-motorized boats such as kayaks and paddle boats welcomed in the lakes
• Maximized lakeside views have been developed along trails throughout Cross Creek Ranch

Flewellen Creek

Award-winning Flewellen Creek is a 2-mile stream meandering through approximately 130+ acres of Cross Creek Ranch. The carefully restored nature area is a balanced ecosystem for wildlife and a natural backdrop for amenities, including Arbor Park and The Links at Flewellen Creek (18 hole disc golf).

Polishing Pond

Cross Creek Ranch boasts a boardwalk and nature overlook where residents can observe wetland plants, identify birds and wildlife, hone their photography skills and access nature trails. The boardwalk and viewing platforms provide an overlook of the community’s Polishing Pond, a 50-acre natural habitat and lush oasis that has become a permanent home for fish and turtles as well as a migratory stop for countless birds and wildlife.

 
Roughly the size of 48 football fields, the Cross Creek Ranch Polishing Pond also functions as an engineered water quality basin where water is filtered for reuse throughout the development for irrigation. Pop-up Photo Opp

Towering tall above the usual floral and fauna found in Cross Creek Ranch are whimsical art displays denoting the colorful flowers and fluttering butterflies common to our community. Take a stroll through Cross Creek Ranch to see the oversized nods to nature and make sure to stop for a photo — it is sure to be an Instagram hit!
